Priorities

The Guilford County School Board held a 4 hour meeting last night. Out of 4 hours how much time did they spend discussing academic achievement? None. Zero. They spent about 50 minutes trying to decide whether or not to turn down free (FREE!) full-time principal interns from High Point University, and about 50 minutes discussing the renaming of various buildings and programs, but there was no discussion of how to improve education.

It's time to focus on academic achievement. It's time to focus on student learning. It's time to make educating our students our top priority. It's time for a change. #sauerforschoolboard
